I always forget how "fun" prodromal labor is 🙄

36+1 and the braxton hicks every night are real. I have to go twice weekly for NSTs (thanks insulin) since I was having contractions on the monitor and getting my GBS swab anyway, she decided to check me. We had talked about not doing cervical checks unless I was contracting anyway. 1 cm dilated, not that that tells me too much, I forgot to ask about any effacement. Before I'd gone yesterday I noticed what I thought was part of my mucous plug and I saw more today. Having a ton of irregular, painful contractions, mostly less than a minute and I go back to them Friday. If I keep going at this rate, I'll ask them to check me again. Whether I make it to my planned induction at 39 weeks is anyone's guess but at least there's an end in sight.
