Addict has a parent

Has anyone gone through other parent being an addict

As of right now I have a restraining order on my childrens father due to him having bi polar and being an addict his anger got scary.

I go back to court in march.

I am going to extend the order

Some people has advised me giving him supervised visit once a week with the kids.

Idk how I feel about anything idk if he sober or doing worse. Or were he is at and ect.

Ik last time he talk to his mom he said he missed his family.

I know personally I would like him to go into a 90 day program or even longer.

But at the end its not my choose what he does or doesnt do.

Have u guys ever delt with something like this how did u guys deal?
