If it’s a large plane, see if they offer a bassinet. If they do, it’s often first come first serve, so look into it ASAP and see what you need to do to reserve it. Bring a pacifier, something to baby-wear, extra outfits for you and baby in case of an in-flight spit up or poop-splosion. 😉 If you’re nursing, nurse at takeoff and landing to help with ear pressure. A pacifier or bottle will offer the same effect. You can usually gate check a stroller and car seat for free. It can be helpful to have their car seat during a layover so you have somewhere to put them down for a bit. I also found it was nice to have a blanket I was ok putting on the ground so that he could lie down and wiggle on layovers. In case of a super cranky mid-flight babe...there’s a product called Camilia teething relief. It’s all natural and is advertised for teething irritability, but honestly has helped anytime my son has been inconsolably cranky. It’s a clear liquid that comes in a plastic vial that they can suck on. LIFESAVER. Have a great trip!
