Obgyn visit

I had my visit yesterday and they told me I gained 12 pounds but I’m only 4 months. I have to start dieting or just watching what I eat because tbh I haven’t been. I eat exactly the way I did before pregnancy 🥴😞. But My biggest problem is not exercising. They say go for a walk for 30 minutes and it sounds so simple but I just dont do it. Any recommendations on cardio exercises to do inside your home?

I enjoy gentle yoga. I just look up videos on YouTube. You can probably find some pregnancy ones. Gets the body moving and relieves pain and discomfort.

High knees; mountain climbers; bird dogs; step jumping jacks; step up’s; box jumps; burpees; lateral skaters; squat jumps; alternating lunges to name a few

Yeah you can replace any jumps with stepping..

I was told by my on no running or jumping at all while pregnant unless you’ve been doing this for over a year before pregnancy.

I couldn’t do much in my first trimester however in my 2nd I started walking with a mile a day and eating healthy by the time I was in my 3rd I was doing 4 miles a day easily all the way up until birth.

So biggest recommendation is basic stuff like just be moving around deep clean. Don't sit too long. Turn off the TV. Also there are some great workout videos on YouTube I enjoyed before pregnancy and exhaustion of chasing a toddler lol. Also if you find you are gaining too fastly you could always ask your doctor to see a dietician and or log your food choices every day and see if there are healthier options.Best wishes and wish you and baby health.
