Can someone with regular cycles still ovulate early?

For example, someone with 28 day cycles - ovulation should be around cycle day 14. Can it be early - like cycle day 7-10 - and then they still go on to have a full 28 day cycle?

If you ovulate earlier than you usually do your cycle will be shorter.

Yep. I have a very regular 28 day cycle. My second pregnancy I was tracking with OPKs and BBT, I tracked 3 cycles and my ovulation was consistently day 16. With this pregnancy, I wasn’t tracking ovulation, but app predicted I’d ovulate cycle day 14 but my husband and I had unprotected sex on cycle day 11figuring I was atleast 5 days from ovulation, but I had an OPK left so took it next morning and it was a blazing positive. So I’d say I ovulated cycle day 12. My ultrasound dating put me 5 days further along than my LMP which would have to mean I ovulated earlier or the measurement is off.

I have a 31 day cycle always no matter when I ovulate and I tend to ovulate between CD 18 and 24.
