FTM????!!!!!

First time moms how do you feel about going into labor are you scared nervous ready my mind is all over the place I’m being induced in two week!!!!! (Due to preeclampsia) I’m trying to stay clam but I’m so scared!!!!!!! 😔

Second time mom and I honestly think it was better going into labor without knowing what it was gonna feel like 😅 just go in with an open mind to whatever you need to do to get your baby out safely

Def all of the above! Ftm and one minute I’m ok and thinking no other option so it’s going to happen. Then the next minute “omg I’m not ready!” And then I’m ok again I’m like “ok I read all the books I know what’s going to happen” snd then the next minute it’s “omg I can’t go through that, how do people do this” and then I go on to the “ok so I gotta give birth and then what? They hand me this baby and then what?” It’s a roller coaster for sure. Nervous, excited, worried, scared, just a huge overwhelming feeling, and wanting pregnancy to be done already but not ready for it all, all at the same time.

I found so much comfort reading every single birth story on this app when I was pregnant with my first! It was so helpful to read all of the different scenarios to get an idea of what to expect for labor, delivery, and post partum. I highly recommend it! I would also look up different mom support groups on Facebook. It’s helpful to have another place to post questions and I would always get waaayy more answers on Facebook as opposed to this app. 
Also you will be amazed at how much your body just takes over. The worst part for me was the contractions leading up to being admitted to the hospital. It was just scary having bleeding, painful contractions, and not know what’s normal or not. I called the advice nurse multiple times and went to L&D to get checked a couple of times before getting admitted. Keep in mind the 5-1-1 rule of contractions

I’m not a FTM, but I remember the feeling. I think it’s mostly the unknown. It would probably benefit you to research labor and delivery a little more. Look into common interventions and the pros and cons. It will make you feel more confident and you’ll be able to make informed decisions while in labor. Good luck :)

I’m a 2nd time mom here, I was also scared with my first. It helped to read birth stories to know what to expect. And honestly, my labor and delivery with my first was a dream. I was on cloud 9 (maybe because I got an epidural right away 😂) since I had to deal with 9 months of hyperemesis, and knew it’d be all over soon and I’d be meeting my baby. My body took over and I barely had any pain. I even took a nap waiting to dilate 😂 
It’s the post partum stage I wasn’t ready for! That was way more painful than labor, but it only lasts like 1 week. You’re just so tired and busy caring for your newborn that it goes by in a blur.

I’m not FTM. this is my 2nd pregnancy I due March 1st. Anyways I was pregnant 4 years ago with my son due to high blood pressure and preeclampsia. Yes it was scary for me cause I was nervous esp. I was walking into being first time mother couple of hour til my son welcoming in this world. As soon I was induced at 39 weeks 5 days. Almost made it to my 40 weeks. Lol. It was time to go in labor. My bp was so high 200/86 they gave me epidural early. Oh gawdd I felt so good even tho my contractions was high all the way til it was time to push. He didn’t wanna come out. My dr. Use the vacuum on him  BAAMMMM he came out wasn’t breathing for 20 sec. thankfully I heard him crying. He is now healthy and ok. Not to mention: his daddy pass out as soon he came out🤣🤣🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ other than that my son was my everything. After birth wasn’t bad for me. I was lucky enough to walk away with no rips.

I try not to think about it and just keep in mind it has to happen at some point and so many people do it, I should be fine. But I’ll probably get more nervous closer to or when the time comes

For my first baby I was induced because my water broke but I still didn’t have contractions. Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I thought till near the end, and I had a shorter labor time than my 4 friends who also gave birth that year! Just breath and find what helps you stay clam and relaxed the most!
