What do they mean by this and is it a victim mindset

I came across this post and this one guy was saying this “I like when people complain about this virus and what rights the government is taking from them while I sit here living the same day repeatedly since March with no job or any indication of when I’ll have my life back, it’s really cool of them.” It got me confused because a lot of people have been sitting around since March and we all know how hard things have been with the government.

Sounds to me like he is complaining about people who don’t take the virus seriously, don’t want to wear masks, and want no restrictions; while, he, is on the opposite side of the spectrum, staying in lockdown and following the rules. I don’t think he sounds like a victim; I think he’s expressing his frustration with the people who keep gathering, spreading misinformation, not taking Covid seriously, etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know where he lives, or his situation, or his health background, etc, so while some people still go to the store or work, maybe he can’t, and he literally is spending every. Single. Day. At home. Inside....and that would be really tough. Not that I go out much, but I atleast have gone to work some, gone grocery shopping, things like that in the times of Covid.

I feel his frustration. Covid hit the world like a wrecking ball. All plans everyone had was ruined by a freaking virus. Then it got to people refusing to wear mask and crying about nonessential crap. 
It’s frustrating seeing and hearing about people not taking this virus seriously. It’s killing people and I think the ones spreading this virus more need to grow the hell up and cope with not having a social life for a little while, so we have a chance to go back to normal living.

This person is frustrated. It’s not this person playing the victim it’s him being upset with people not taking a pandemic seriously. Pointing out people’s selfishness is not playing the victim.

People are complaining about their rights being taken away because they have to wear a mask, but he's home with no job & no money and can't find a job to get more money. It's not a victim mindset, there's millions who still haven't been able to find a job and thousands who have been made homeless, yet people complain about having to wear a mask. Between this post and the last, I'm starting to think I should be envious of where you're at in life right now. We're struggling to make ends meet because of COVID & last year's events. I agree with this man.

I think everyone is going to have a different perspective of what he's saying. I personally think he's annoyed by people complaining over little things like not being able to eat in a restaurant or go to a bar. Meanwhile he's dealing with a real crisis of joblessness

Victim mindset would be blaming everyone for everything and saying you’re helpless/powerless and can’t ever do anything because of the people you’re blaming.

Falling on hard times is... hard. It sounds like he is in the anger phase of grief over the loss of his original plans. If I knew this person I would probably hope for them that they not tie their experience to anyone else’s opinions. People are going through a multitude of different experiences in life (during Covid and before Covid for that matter). Suggesting that who ever is suffering the most has earned the right to an opinion, but the person who is perceived as suffering less isn’t allowed theirs is a false one.
