Divorce

Hey all I’m going through a divorce. My husband is setting up a dissolution, but the lawyer is representing him. He wants me to give him half the money and I have concerns that giving him half would back fire since , the lawyer is not my lawyer and my money could go to my own lawyer. But to be fair, I told him, after divorce has been processed. I would reimburse him and that’s not okay with him. Am I wrong)? If anyone can give me any input!
