What am i doing wrong?

Question

2 naps = 30 mins each 
1 nap = 45 min (just started one nap) 
Will it elongate??? How ? 
I left her in the crib after 45 minutes and she just scream for another half hour to 45 minutes I don’t want to keep her in the crib for an hour crying

Oh this is so rough. I’m not sure but when we sleep trained and wanted her to stretch her naps, we made nap minimums, which I believe started at an hour. So she had to be in her crib for that long whether she was sleeping or not. She now takes two naps that are about 3+ hours total for the day.

We did nap hour too. Eventually he ended up where he is now taking one nap a day and it’s about 1.5-2 hours though sometimes still only an hour.

Hopefully it will elongate. I definitely try to make sure my 14 month old gets through one full sleep cycle (45 min) during any nap.
