My husband doesnt agree with my birth plan

I want to labour naturally for as long as I can at home and then get an epidural once I do go to the hospital. But my husband is saying "absolutely not" to me having any kind of medication. Has anyone disagreed with their partner on their birth plan but had them come around at the end?? Curious if this is a common issue.
