Midwife or Obgyn?!

Hey ladies! I need some opinions or experiences on if u had a midwife or a Obgyn. I’ve had a doula and she is amazing. thank u 🙏 😊

It honestly depends, 
You can find an OB that’s really good and personal and can have an amazing experience nearly as personal as having a midwife. It also depends on your risk factors.

Hands down midwife. I wish i had the opportunity to be with the local midwives for my current pregnancy

I had an OB for all my pregnancies and plan on having my OB deliver my third child too. I considered a midwife, but as I was considered high risk due to multiple miscarriages I was seeing my OB weekly and it just made more sense to have someone that knew me better in the room. I also was going to deliver in a hospital where I’d have access to all the medical help possible if necessary. The midwife I liked did not have privileges at the hospital I wanted. So I went with my OB. 
She’s awesome and she was really amazing with my all kids. My first delivery was traumatic (stillbirth and I did not want to be induced) and she got me through that and was great when I got really upset when having my eldest son. I trust her and she’s always been respectful of my needs and wants. My kids paediatrician works in her practice as well so that just felt like an easier transition for me.  
She wasn’t my first OB. The first one I saw just wasn’t a good fit for me. She was good and all that, but she wasn’t the right fit. Finding someone you work with and like and trust is the best advice I can give. Doesn’t matter if it’s an OB or midwife really. They’re both medically trained and can provide good care (though if you need a higher level of care you do need an OB).

I’ve had both. I required prenatal care of an OB for being high risk, but much more prefer a midwife delivery.

I liked both honestly.
I don’t think one was better than the other.
Neither of them actually delivered all three of my kids 🤦🏻‍♀️ they were both not on call when I went into labor 😂
