Yes because if you both are on two different pages you cannot compromise on a child. There may be love there but it’s better if y’all are with someone who is on the same page.

You don’t compromise on kids. Both people need to be on the same page. One reason I left my ex was because he had very different ideas about having and raising kids than I did and I knew I couldn’t compromise on certain things (personally I believed my ex would be a good dad, but some of his opinions on parenting I believe to be absolutely wrong and potentially harmful to children). Kids are people that require a lot of love and attention from both parents. So if one parent is fully on board and you can’t agree on how to raise them (from education, child care, money, parenting philosophy’s etc) it’s just not going to work out. 
Leaving my ex was the best thing I ever did. Found a man that wanted what I did and we have a beautiful family that neither one of us has any resentment or negativity about.

Kids are a dealbreaker for me. How we have them is negotiable (biological, adoption, etc.), but having them is not. I will be a mother

While it would be heartbreaking  for me if he changed his mind and no longer wanted kids.  I would stay. I married him  for him not for the kids he could give me.

Yes, it’s definitely a valid reason to end a relationship a lot of marriages end because of this very reason. It really depends how important and strong you feel about conceiving and raising a child with your significant other.

It’s a discussion to have before marriage. My note husband and I discussed this when dating. We both said we wanted one. He said he would be ok either way but one would be nice. After getting married he changed his mind and said no kids. I felt blindsided. He apparently got nervous since his mom left when he was 10 and he got scared that I’d leave as well. I decided I would be okay without kids and we got a second dog. It took a lot to come around to that and therapy though. 
4 years into marriage I told him I was switching birth controls since mine was making me sick. He told me I should go off of it. I was confused and said that’s stupid since I’d get pregnant. He explained that he no longer feared me leaving and was ready to start trying if I was. Knowing he was 100% on board and HE was the one to initiate that “having kids” talk, it meant everything to me. Took us 4 years and IVF to conceive but it made us stronger in the end. 
I definitely went more in depth in my answer 😂 long story short - I made sure we talked about kids before marriage and would’ve ended things then and there if he said no. But he said yes. Once we were married, I ended up changing my mind and didn’t let it be a dealbreaker. But luckily I’m now a mom 💕

This has happened and I completely understood his wanting to end the relationship. I let him know early on I did not want any more kids, and he wanted a biological child of his own. So that was the end of that. No hurt feelings

Yes. I discussed this with my husband when we were dating. You don't want to force and unwanted child on someone ... And you don't want someone to regret not having a child if that's what they wanted. It won't work.
