Youngest you’d put baby in stroller w/out car seat?

I was able to get a double Bob off market place for a good price & am super excited about it! But I’ve been trying to get the attachment for my car seat & having a hard time finding one for a decent price (not really wanting to  spend an extra $75-100). Trying to decide if I need to bite the bullet or if I can make do without, until I can just put baby in the stroller on his own. (I could just baby wear if we get out early on) Thoughts?

If the stroller lays flat you can do it from birth. We took my daughter for a walk at 5 days old and she napped the whole time

Check the minimum weight and make sure that it can incline quite a bit.

It is best that baby does not go in the car seat outside of the car. If the stroller reclines to newborn safe level, they can pop right in no problem. Otherwise, baby wear u til they can go in the stroller, or find a bassinet attachment.

I think he was like 6 or 7 months but my baby has always been really small for his age lol so I was scared of him falling. He’s 2 now and can’t even wear 2T 😭.

We never put our baby in a stroller with a car seat. But we wore her most of the time and when we did we had bought an infant insert to keep her warm for the winter so it worked out great. Also our stroller leaned back all of the way so she could lay down and not have to sit up

6 months is the recommended age, especially if they might fall asleep in it

My baby is 4 months. A big 4 months at almost 19 pounds and 27 inches. We decided to test out the stroller without car seat today. We just left it reclined and he did great. If he is sleeping though, I’ll be leaving him in car seat and just attaching it to stroller but if he’s awake, I’ll transfer him when we get out of car.

Probably 5 or 6 months os my preference. Just because babies cant sit up themselves until then. Unless you want to keep the stroller reclined that whole time. I loved being able to pop the pumpkin seat onto the stroller.
