Can I give my baby cake or cupcake at 6 months?

For her half birthday I was going to do a cute little half cake and let her dig in. Is it safe for babies to have cake? All she’s had so far are bananas, Apples, and carrots purées

No...I don’t plan to give my daughter anything but breast milk before six weeks and even then I introduce foods slowly in case of allergies. Cake at 6 months would just upset her belly.

Personally I wouldn’t. Their stomach isn’t used to regular food like vegetables let alone sugar, fats, dairy, wheat. Save it for their first birthday

Maybe make a thicker smoothie with only fresh fruit, and ice you can spoon feed or let them self feed if you’re planning to do BLW.
