Long story short 2 days ago we found out that our baby has a double aortic arch aka vascular ring heart defect ( our ob sent us to a specialist for a echo because they thought something was wrong) and will have to have surgery shortly after birth. It may affect her all her life it may not. They said there's also a chance she could come out with the 22q syndrome which is a facial defect for cleft lip low ears eyes separated alot etc. With that being said I haven't had a chance to talk to my ob since we found out and the specialist said they were referring us to a pediatrics cardiologist for more testing and they would all 3 be working closely during the rest of my pregnancy and I wss considered high risk now ... my question is do I work Monday and take the chance of missing this very important phone call and not be able to talk to my ob to ask him questions or do I work and just hope I don't miss the call. Our worlds been flipped upside down. I'm super stressed I randomly cry over it and my minds def not work focused but I don't wanna take time off just to be sad .
