Any of you new moms pumping?

Our baby came four weeks early so the hospital told me to pump and only put him to the breast for a few minutes every feeding. My output is low :/ Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat

My baby wasnt latching on properly due to my nipples being inverted alittle, I managed to just hand express my colostrum and give that to him with syringes and i use a nipple shield. Eventually after a day or two my milk came through, however if i wasnt expressing enough i would top my son up on formula, but now my milk has come through and my boobs are forever leaking through my breast pads, bras and tshirts! Dont give up mama. 💜

Yes, when I had my boy they suggested I pump because he wasn’t latching well. Your milk will take a little while to actually come in. My ped actually had me supplement formula for a few feedings to make sure he was getting food (and he was jaundice) so I needed to make sure I was flushing it out of him.

I’m not a new mom but sometimes it sure does feel like it . Usually your milk won’t start to come in until 3-4 days. It’s totally normal . I would just supplement with formula until my milk came in
