Help!

So I was suppose to get my period Friday. I had sex and I bleed pretty bad which never happens. So I thought I had gotten my period, but since then I have not bled. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Has this happened to anyone else? I have spotted a bit since but no period.
