Not the easiest pregnancy but I'm growing a fighter

Jessica • Jessica Constantine

Suffered a loss at 20 weeks December 2019. I'm here now with my second pregnancy. At 12 weeks my cell free dna test showed turners and they wanted me to do an amniocentesis I refused. Turners or not I was keeping her so the amniocentesis did not matter. Went in for my 19 week check up on Friday and my uterus showed funneling and a shortened cervix. I was told I needed an amniocentesis that night and a cerclage to be put in the next day. I still didn't want to do amniocentesis but they wouldn't do cerclage without it because they needed to check for infection. Ugh.... infection words i don't ever want to hear. Well I agreed to amniocentesis and thankfully results were negative for infection. Cerclage was put in yesterday and thankfully not a ton of pain. Now home on bed rest for the next week. Safe to say this has not been an easy pregnancy. Please send good thoughts and vibes for a smooth rest of the pregnancy and also that this little love of my life goes full term.
