Just want to know how long a ovulation test should stay positive for???

Different for every people. But the lenght does not matter at all.
If it is positive, then LH has passed certain level to trigger ovulation. If the ovulation is trigger ed then it doesn't matter how much LH is in your system and how long.

There is no "should." Even 1 positive is fine. It can stay positive for days, though. The most I have ever had was 11 days once.
