It was recommended we do this, but I don't know why.

From what I've read, this is helpful if you've got polps, Endo, painful periods, cysts, scar tissue, PCOS, etc.

I have none of the above. I ovulate perfectly fine, I don't have painful periods, haven't had a cyst in ages, he said the other day my lining is nice and thick. There doesn't seem to be any problem in that regard that warrant those procedures.

The main concern at the moment is that my husband's sperm does not appear to be alive after intercourse. They want him to do another SA (he did one last year March), to see if there is suddenly an issue of necrozoospermia (which there has not been at any of his previous SAs).

So I'm failing to see why our doctor would push two procedures on me, without establishing my husband's issues first.

Is this normal practice, can the above procedures determine why the sperm is dying so soon after intercourse (we saw the doctor six hours after we had sex per his instructions)? Can it determine if my environment is inhospitable?

*I do not have a single Endo symptom. Not a single, single one, even for the Stage One Endo. My periods are not heavy at all, my cramps are manageable to the point that I don't have to take any painkillers, I don't have nausea and other cramps and such. Literally none of that. I have had several transvaginal ultrasounds and nothing has been picked up.

*Thank you. I'm just struggling to connect the dots and see why he wants to do this when my husband has dead sperm inside me. Will doing this change the environment to something more hospitable?
