Am i still protected if I’m having breakthrough bleeding on the pill but taking it correctly?

Am i still protected against pregnancy if I am having a prolonged period/ breakthrough bleeding on the pill?

I have taken all of them correctly, just shortened my pill free week so I think that’s the reason for it.

I am on my 4th pack
