Will you have a stay at home parent in your household?

Question

My husband ultimately will be a stay at home dad! I am finishing my MS so I will be working.🤓
No judgment in what anyone does! Just genuinely curious 🤷🏻‍♀️ we are first time parents

My husband is stay at home dad but I’m not sure how long that’ll last for (he is currently looking) but he has been staying home with the kids since last Jan. I’m kinda relieved to know that other dads stay home as well because my family thinks the man should be the one who works and the woman is suppose to stay home... ugh lol.

My husband stays home with our 3.5 year old, 2 yr old, and 9 month old. He’ll probably continue to stay home until 2 of them are school age. And then we’ll put the other 2 back in daycare. We had 2 in daycare until the pandemic hit. Took them out to keep the newborn safe.

We will both be home for first 6-12months,  husband will do parental leave then just take time off and I’ll be filing for disability then parental leave and eventually go back to working from home.

I’m a SAHM. Have my masters in education but “retired” when my son was born. We moved out of state and at the time had no family around us from either side and a good daycare would’ve basically been my salary. My husband makes a very good income where we can comfortably live without me working. Now we have three kids under 4 and pregnant with our last so it’ll be four under 5 come august. I enjoy it. Like being home with them and once they’re all in school... I’ll either get some kind of job to keep busy during the day (not teaching) or continue to stay home. Who knows by that point.

My husband was a SAHD last year for the most part, he thought he would enjoy it but he really struggled. So we are both full time this year again, until August of course!

Normally we would both be working but my job as an arts instructor for the school board has been suspended since March 😒 sooo that makes me a stay-at-home now! Blessing in disguise with my 1 1/2 year old but I wish things were open and toddler activities were running so at least we’d have something to do once in a while!

I’m a SAHM now. With my first I was lucky enough to have helpful family everywhere that had my son while we worked. I left work early with my second because I starting having pregnancy complications and haven’t been back. At this point it’s much harder with two kids (now three come august) to have baby sitters. My job didn’t pay enough to even cover daycare so staying home was best for us.

Neither of us will stay home but I work at a preschool with infant classes and so they will come to work with me
