Scoliosis and epidural?

Have any of you ladies with scoliosis gotten an epidural? If so, what was your experience? 
I have an “S” shaped spine, so essentially I have two curves. One at the top and one at the bottom. Just wondering how that would come into play with epidural. Definitely don’t want to go natural so I’m scared. 
If I can’t get epidural, what other pain meds are good?

If you’re at a healthy weight it shouldn’t be a problem. Excess body fat can cause problems when they are trying to find the right spot.

I have scoliosis as well. I had to go for a consultation at the hospital about a month before my due date. Met with the lead anesthesiologist and a surgeon. They evaluated my spine and wanted to see if I’d be able to have an epidural or spinal. 
They decided because of my weight at the time (I was quite heavy) and my spinal curve I could only have an epidural of the lead a anesthesiologist was available to do it. He was adamant he would make it happen. 
They said if I needed a csection (which I ended up having an emergency one) he would make sure he was there for the spinal or I’d have to be out under. 
I have lost quite a bit of weight and I will have another hospital consultation for this delivery as well. I am having a scheduled csection, so hopefully I’ll have more options for a anesthesiologists this time. It was stressful worrying if he would be available 😅

I got one and I even have a spinal fusion! The doctors told me to bring in an up to date X-ray of my spine so the anesthesiologist knew where exactly my lower curve was.
