So my little one has been sick with a virus for 14 days now.. Yes two whole weeks of miserable crankyness, runny nose and cough. She only had a light fever in the beginning but it went away. Then on Sat it came back and we worried that it may have turned into an ear infection so we went to the doctors and they said everything looks fine, sent us home and told us to wait. Today her fever got worse and she was so upset this morning, non stop crying for 2 hours.. so we took her to the docs again and she said her throat looked red and it's prob and infection so she prescribed antibiotic for 7 days. Anyways, we get home, she naps.. A few hours later her fever is suddenly gone and she is running around normally. I'm thinking she must have beat whatever it is or!?! I don't want to give her antibiotics if I don't have to.. Im thinking we will wait a bit and see if fever comes back. What would you do?
