Am I overreacting?

My boyfriends mom just found out she has the corona virus and my boyfriend has been over there IN HER HOUSE to drop food off for the past two days. He's been wearing a mask around her and washes his hands but I'm still not comfortable with that. His little brothers stay with his mom, she's not at home but she wants him to get them to come stay with us. I told him absolutely not, they've already been exposed to it. I'm also pregnant so I'm not trying to risk catching it. He got so mad and said i'm overreacting when I just really don't want to get me, him nor our unborn sick. Do you think I overreacted?

Why isnt she at home? She’s meant to isolate if she tests positive!

You’re not overreacting. Even if he had a mask on, he was inside her house.  He needs to quarantine himself and get tested.

His mask doesn’t protect him from getting it, it stops him from spreading it. Idk it’s tough. How old are the brothers? If they’re children they shouldn’t be left alone and I’d be mad at you too. Do you have somewhere you can go? He’s already been exposed, which means you’ve already been exposed

How old are the children? She may need help with caring duties, in which case maybe your boyfriend could go and stay over there...

You are NOT overreacting. But if it makes you feel better, I hugged my grandmother literally a day or two before I started showing symptoms (so basically I was positive and able to spread it)  - I was livid as I’d basically not hugged her for months to keep her safe. But it was a miracle, she didn’t get infected. So it’s possible neither he nor you have been infected. He should definitely not be chancing it by going in the house and stuff anymore though!

Noooo, you are pregnant you can caught it way more easily.  I am worried just going out sometimes because I'm pregnant. I wouldn't let them stay. Hopefully he can understand. If he can't go somewhere else for for time being. I hope you live close to family or a good friend 🙏🏼

I don’t think you are overreacting at all. This is a huge part of why we haven’t started trying for a second. I know covid would cause tons of fights about who we see because his parents act like there is t a pandemic right now. I think you have every right to not want to get sick pregnant or not .

I don’t really get it but the CDC considered “exposure” to be 15 minutes of contact with someone while not social distancing from them. Chances are your husband is fine. How old are the kids? Is this a situation where they’re too young, need cared for, and she’s too sick to do so?

As soon as he decided to go inside, I would’ve told him to stay over there. If he’s also so upset and his mom needs him to watch his brothers then he should be going over there. They’re all supposed to stay isolated and in their homes, not traveling to different homes. But, since he’s been over there he’s been exposed and since he came back home it means you’ve been exposed too. He either needs to stay over there or stop going over, the more he goes over the more he’s exposing himself and you. Just because he’s been exposed doesn’t mean you should be fine with them coming over to expose you even more.
