Winter babies?!

Question

Whats everyone doing to keep their babes warm outdoors?

I sewed this fox fur on our snow suit, but I find every hat she has falls over her face. I'm trying to make a headband that will stay on but it's a challenge. Same goes for socks and booties. Why can't these things be made to actually work!?

We do a combo with her little pink hat that actually fits fairly well and stays out of her eyes for the most part and her yellow snow suit. And sometimes we will tuck a blanket in also if it's really chilly just as an extra layer of protection.

The socks/shoes are what gets me. My Houdini child gets out of every pair of socks and shoes I put on her. And agreed - she shimmies her head out of hats and headbands. I put her in her car seat and bundle blankets around her and then use a car seat cover.

We got these fuzzy booties because her feet are to thin and long for socks to stay on. They velcro shut so you can pull them nice and snug.

I live in Indiana where it’s pretty freaking cold.  I put her in a onesie and maybe some leg warmers, socks and shoes (with Velcro at the ankle) and a hat.  She’s in her car seat that has a cover with Sherpa on the inside. When I take the hat off her hair is sweaty so I feel like she’s almost too warm.    But aside from the doctor visits I don’t take her out at all.   Too many cooties going around
