Okay so I got lip filler a week ago today. I thought above my lip was just swollen but It’s been a week. Should I get them re done? Is this normal? Because I hate them and don’t think it should look like this at all.

Looks like the filler got on the top of your lip instead of in you lip... i would get that fixed. thats not how its supposed to look.

go back to the same doctor, ask what’s wrong, and then see another specialist

Where the bell did they inject the filler?!!!! Because that’s not where it’s supposed to go! They’re supposed to inject INTO the lip! Go back! Get your money back and go to someone who knows what they’re doing

Did you go to a licensed professional? Cause anyone can get lip filler and inject you, they don’t need any training to do that

It’s swelling. Was this your first time? Usually first time around it takes longer to heal, but if it’s not gone in a week you definitely need to go back! Swelling can migrate to above your lip. That’s normal but it’s not normal for it to stay longer than two weeks.

Call and ask but it can take 2-3 weeks for all swelling to go down and the filler to settle. So could be a mistake or could be normal. Everyone responds to them different and if this is your first time you won't know how your body responds. I worked in this field for years and have seen thousands of people with filler...some look back to normal within 5 days some take 3 full weeks. I always say call and ask though as soon as you have a concern. A good injector (hoping you went to a good reputable place) will ask for pictures at a minimum...most will want to see you in person to look/feel the filler. If they made a mistake there are fixes but not all of them are pleasant so hope it is just swelling.  If they won't even entertain there might be an issue find somewhere else to help you. Do you know what they put in and how much?? Obviously photos aren't the easiest to truly tell but regardless I might find another injector.

Did you receive any aftercare instructions? Based on a quick search, I’m seeing it can take 2 weeks for the swelling around the lip to go down. Are you icing regularly?
