Orally. My temp data is pretty good and definitely indicates ovulation and the arrival of AF. It does take a cycle or two to give useful data though. I've been doing it for almost 5 years.

If you ever open your mouth while sleeping, it can alter your mouth temp. 
If you ever see a bbt chart that looks like a mountain range or it goes up and then goes down then up and then down, that’s usually a mouth temper.
