11+3 vomiting / protein shake
Hi everyone,
I’m a little concerned becuase last night my partner made fruit smoothies but he added whey protein to his. When he couldn’t finish his he added it to mine. I was caught off guard that he just added it to mine when of course I didn’t want/need protein and I wasn’t sure if it was safe for pregnant women to consume. But I was hungry and needed to eat. After a few bites (maybe 4 bites) my conscious got the better of me and I got up to check the packaging. Sure enough it says it’s not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. I was pissed and just decided to make an egg sandwich and go to bed. Later that evening I threw up. I haven’t thrown up my entire pregnancy until then. This morning I felt better but had some intense diarrhea. As the day progressed I tried to keep snacking regularly but felt nauseous. Usually a little snack sets me straight and I can function normally. But not today. I feel like I could throw up again. I’m worried that I may have eaten something harmful. I know that morning sickness is supposed to subside this week but again, I didn’t experience any vomiting until now. Did I have enough of that shake to mess things up with baby? I feel awful. I’m also a first time mom (if you haven’t guessed by now lol) and I don’t want to freak for no reason. I also have my first ever ultrasound this coming Monday. Should I just ride it out? Thanks.
