If you have rehomed an aggressive dog, do you still feel guilty?

Feel free to PM me. We dealt with this just last month. 😭 I miss her every single day! But it was the right thing to do. And she is doing amazing in her new home. It was a hard decision and we cried and cried and lost lots of sleep deciding and accepting the decision. Still, I cry. But its what was needed.

I haven’t gone through this but i wanted to say , if you rehomed your dog and the dog is doing better in that environment you shouldn’t feel guilty for it . You did the right thing for that dog if they are in a good home rather then a shelter somewhere . Some dogs just need to be the only dog or animal in their home but doesn’t make them bad dogs or any less deserving of love and happiness .

I get pets and to have them for their life. I do believe there are some situations where a pet would be better off in another situation and they deserve that.

Before I say this, know that I am from the Deep South. We are extremely territorial about our families, second our animals and 3rd our property. 
If you have a dog that comes on my land, and destroys property, kills all of my animals, and hurts one of my family members... im sorry but you are never going to see your dog again. 
I had nieces due that month. As my animals lay strewn across my property with their throats ripped out, I was literally imagining the worst fucking things happening to my nieces and felt no remorse. That dog was just going to continue to hurt everything in its path. 
It literally ripped a fence out of the ground and I don’t know how. Probably when our animals were fighting for their lives. It killed every. Single. One. Of our animals. I came home and all my animals were dead with their throats ripped out. Animals I had hand raised and bottle fed. My brother had to get stitches and the only reason he wasn’t hurt worse is because he was close to the door and could kick the dog in it’s face. 
Imagine that for a second before you come at me. The bitch tried pressing charges on us but the police said word for word “we would have done it ourselves” 
And that’s the south for you.

I have a semi agressive dog. I couldn’t put him anywhere other than with me. I understand him and he does the best with me. It sucks he does poorly when I’m away. I’d be too scared he’d hurt someone who doesn’t know him by giving him away
