First ultrasounds?

Hey guys. Just wondering when everyone booked in their first ultrasound.  My doctor recommended 6 weeks but when I tried to book the clinic said I should wait till later for my first. 
I've had two miscarriages so far, so I don't really want to wait, I would rather know things are okay sooner. 
When did you get your first ultrasound and do you recommend getting it then, sooner or later?

Most doctors recommend 8 weeks minimum because they can see the heartbeat and the baby much better, as well as determine if the pregnancy seems healthy/well because the baby is more developed. At 6 weeks it’s usually too early to determine if the pregnancy will be viable because there’s not much development at that point.

I had one at 5.5 weeks to confirm that the baby implanted in my uterus before me giving myself blood thinning shots. I had 5 miscarriages and no successful pregnancies at that point and had found out a I have the marker for a blood disorder before that pregnancy.

6 weeks for me but we ended up MC a few days after. Baby dust to you and I hope it’s a H&H pregnancy for you

I mean, having one earlier really doesn’t tell you much. I’d wait until around 8 weeks since you can’t see much at six weeks

7 or 8 weeks with my first, 11 weeks with my second because that was the earliest they could see me. I preferred being seen later because early prenatal appts tend to be a waste of time and cause more worry than necessary in my experience. Plus with the later ultrasound it was way more fun to see a bigger baby with all its limbs and bouncing around.

With my first son it was 8 1/2 weeks and with the baby I’m pregnant with now it won’t be until 10 weeks because that’s the soonest that my doctor could get me in.

I got one at 6 weeks only because my HCG was high enough

8 weeks with my first (ended in her being born still), and 7 weeks with my son.

My midwife said 7w would be ok and I’ve had two miscarriages. But I decided to wait until 8w so I have a higher chance of actually seeing something rather than getting any sort of inconclusive result and giving myself anxiety.
