Are you birthing w/o husband?

Question

I just wanted to see if anyone was in the same boat as me...
Are you having to give birth without your husband? If so, how are you managing.
*If you ever gave birth without your spouse what was your experience like

I just gave birth without my husband (or any support person) 2 weeks ago. I was upset at first when I knew he would be gone for work, but I just started to look at it in a different light, and I even started to look forward to it. I've done alot of things by myself, I enjoy my alone time so I figured it will be cool; I won't have to worry about anyone else, I don't have to feel embarrassed about pooping or being crazy, and I can spend some super precious alone time with my son before we leave the hospital. 
In the end, I am SO happy he wasn't there. I was induced and my labor was super intense. The entire process took 5 hours (ftm) with back to back contractions and I was inconsolable and loud. I think he would have been traumatized, and I was relieved to be able to sit by myself with the baby and process the event without anyone else wanting to hold him, talk to me,  etc.
It is really all in the way you look at it. You 100% can do it, if you have a good nurse team then even better. It is their job to support you, so let them know how you're feeling and what you need from them. Best of luck!
