Does it bother you if your friend is friends with someone you don’t get along with?
I had a friend for many years, let’s call her “A” we weren’t close at all, we’d see eachother once or twice a year. Anyway, “A” did something that really bothered me, so I confronted her then cut her off. We have a mutual friend, we are both very close with her. This mutual friend, let’s call her “L” often complains about “A” doing things that a real friend shouldn’t do. Since “A” and I stopped being friends, it honestly bothers me that “L” is such good friends with her. “L” will complain about “A”, and yet goes on overnight vacations with her. “A” genuinely did something wrong to me, and “L” is aware of this, and knows herself that “A” is very inconsiderate sometimes, but still continues to be best buddies. Do I have a right to be annoyed by their friendship? It’s making me very distant from “L”.
