If you had/are having a scheduled induction / c-section, will you put makeup on before you go to the hospital?

I did and I was happy I did because i looked reasonably put together in pics! That was for my first (scheduled c section) and my second (induction).

I don’t really wear makeup super frequently, but I definitely wouldn’t want to worry about wearing it during labor. With my first it was a long process and there were several times that I had my face buried in a pillow and I also cried like a baby when he finally was born so I would’ve looked like even more of a hot mess if I had been wearing makeup. I’d rather not have to worry about washing makeup off to go to sleep, too. It’s too much work when trying to deal with a newborn 😅

I plan on bringing a small makeup bag with me and doing it in the hospital after my csection for pictures with baby. I wanted to sleep after my last csection so this time around I just want a clean face to sleep in and I'll do makeup when I'm more awake and alert.

I’m personally most comfortable with a clean washed face so I won’t but I might pack some of the basics if I feel like putting some on after or anything. It really depends what your comfortable with :) I’m not scheduled for anything at the moment so we’ll see what happens.

Would they allow you to wear makeup for a csection? I know that when you have certain procedures they won’t allow you to wear nail polish because your nail bed color tells them a lot. I sort of figured that it would be similar when it comes to makeup. If my hospital allows makeup to be work for a scheduled csection - I might consider putting on some 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did it with my first thinking i would look cute through the birth but the pain was so bad from my failed epidural and everything else that by the end of it i ended up looking CRAZY lol so this time around ill do my makeup after he is born for pictures lol

I’m not doing my makeup but I am getting my hair and lash extensions done lol I get super oily so a full face if makeup would be super uncomfortable for me
