So this is our first baby and we wanted to be the ones to know the gender and reveal to the family. My MIL got upset saying that we’re supposed to have someone else know the gender and plan it and I even disclosed it to her prior that that’s not how we wanted to do things. I even said “this is my baby and I’m planning it” and she got upset and told my husband “well you heard what she said. It’s her baby she is planning it” and didn’t look at me the rest of the visit. Am I wrong or is this just petty? She gets upset when things don’t go her way and I’m just beyond over it.
