Question

Help! I took three tests today, all positive, based on my last cycle I should be about 6 weeks and 3 days along. What’s the next step? Do I go to a doc and then they will send me to do an ultrasound or does the doctor conduct the ultrasound in their office. First time mom I have no idea where to start😫 I haven’t even told my husband yet

First, congrats! That’s exciting. I remember feeling like that with my first. Second, tell your husband :) there is no rush to call the clinic or anything, but here are the steps
Find OB or FM doctor that you want to go to
Call clinic and tell them you had a + pregnancy test
They will walk you through scheduling and stuff. My clinic makes you come in and take a pregnancy test before scheduling a prenatal appointment. When you test + they have you do blood work before ever seeing a doctor or confirming a intrauterine pregnancy.
No need to be concerned unless you have severe painful cramping or bright red bleeding.

Depends on your practice but call your doc and let them know they’ll want to know your LMP and they’ll set you up with an appointment for prenatal new around 8-10 weeks probably. They may or may not do labs right now but mine waiting till I was at my prenatal new appointment. At your prenatal new they’ll do lab, urine and transvaginal ultrasound to get your dating

See You mentioned about paying mostly outta pocket.. go to a health department or somewhere for a proof of pregnancy. Apply for Medicaid. That will be a big bill relief off your chest and a money saver.
