Help please?

Why do they say that everytime one has sex (even if it is protected with birth controls) there is a chance to get pregnant? Like, if i use a condom from the very beginning and the sperm is basically trapped inside it, and it did not break, how does it happen to become pregnant this way?

That’s said because nothing except abstinence is exactly 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. However, when proper birth control is used properly, chances of pregnancy are extremely slim! With condoms, they are 98% effective when used properly from start to finish. But, there’s a small chance that there could be a microscopic hole in the condom, in which the sperm could leak out... hence, why there’s still that chance, and why some people will (after sex) fill the condom with water to see if anything leaks out. If no leaks are noticed, then there’s more than likely nothing to worry about.

I completely agree with Lorissa! I’d also like to add that it’s like skiing. You can take all the precautions, but the only way not to get into an accident/crash is to not ski
