Is Kieran too close to Karen?

My husband and I finally sort of agree on a name but I'm a little nervous as my mother in law's name is Karen.

If it was for siblings’ names that would be a different story, but I don’t think it’s too close for a grandparent/grandkid. I think they’re different enough in pronunciation and origin that it doesn’t sound like you’re naming him after her, and it likely won’t get too confusing having similar sounding names if she’s being called grandma (or whatever) most of the time.

Well I am in love with the name Kieran for a boy HOWEVER that was quickly shut down by man cause it sounds like Karen 🙃 i never thought about it before then lol I would still name my child that tho lol
