Is your toddler using fluoride toothpaste ?

They aren't supposed to have it until they can spit out the toothpaste like adults do. They should not be swallowing it

We werent for the longest time until his teeth became weak and the dentist prescribed flouride toothpaste for kids.  Now we alternate between both.

We do flouride toothpaste every once in a  while as per hygienist request. We are on well water so no flouride. So when we do use it we only use the teeniest tiniest smear of it.

Dentist said use fluoride toothpaste a dot the size of a grain of rice until 2 or he learns to spit. Then, move to pea sized.

My sons dentist told me to start using the children toothpaste with fluoride. I haven't yet because he doesn't get how to spit yet.

We don’t yet, but just went to the dentist this week and she said we could. Just to do a thin smear instead of a pea sized drop. She also said we could dip the toothbrush in kid’s mouth wash and brush his teeth with that before bed as long as he doesn’t eat or drink after. I feel weird about doing either one 😂

We don’t have fluoride in our water so our pedi recommended it! Only a rice riced amount once a day though

We don’t use fluoride toothpaste but are on a well. Our dental hygienist prescribed fluoride drops before bed but wasn’t to ask our doctor before giving them.
