Any tips to induce labor? Ive basically done everything its says on the internet.

Im 38 weeks and 3 days. I have a scheduled induction on Tuesday Feb 9 (at 39 weeks) because of my gestational diabetes.. Im really hoping of going into labor before then 😔 We've tried sex, spicy food, long long LONG walks, I even tried running a bit. Nothing. Any advice?

Answer

You can only kick start labor if your body is ready for it. If you aren’t dilated or effaced at all, the chances of getting anything going is slim. 
Sperm can help soften the cervix and so can evening prim rose oil. 
The birth ball can help you open up your hips and pelvis so that baby sinks better into position. Also alternate doing 20 minutes on the ball and doing deep squats.

I found a massage video on YouTube. I’m not if it truly helped. But I went into labor the next day after doing it.

Midwifes brew (as long as you’ve spoken to your health care professional)! 
It’s worked for both my babies and beat my due date induction (for GDM).
