Walking to school?

Hi, I'm a mom of a kindergartener. He's starting school next week for the first time in the middle of the year because we just moved into a state with mandatory kindergarten.

I work from home full time and am a SAHM full time too. Where we live, we're zoned for no bus transportation, so I will have to walk my son to school 5 days a week.

I work 5 am- 1pm everyday, which works great because being at home, it avoids that magical hour every afternoon that the children like to scream non-stop.

I need advice, life stories, and tips for getting kids to school in the morning while on shift break. School is a 15 minute walk from our house, and my breaks are only 15 minutes. I've been keeping the kids up late and letting them sleep late so most of my work is done before they wake up -- well, that's changing!

The last part of this is that we have no family or friends in this state and cannot afford to hire someone.

I CANNOT lose this job, or switch my hours, or drop to part time, or work weekends because my other job is on weekends. With covid, we're on the crux of losing our house as it is.

Please help? How do you juggle walking to school with multiple kids during your work hours?
