Long story short
My husband is deploying a day before my planned c section. I’ve begged the doctor to move it up for him to be able to see his daughter but she won’t. Even if it’s a day before he leave I just don’t know why she won’t do it. She keeps saying “you’ll probably go early anyway” no!!! I want to have peace of mind that no matter what he will be here. I’ve heard other doctors doing it. Idk why this one won’t budge even a few short days!! It’s causing me extreme anxiety and depression. He wasn’t supposed to deploy around my due date but they moved his date up due to covid.
Also, we covid restrictions my family can fly in but needs to quarantine 14 days before going out in public. So if he isn’t with me I will be alone! She doesn’t seem to even care which is crazy. She even said “can’t he delay deployment?” What?? Not when he runs the whole show. 🤦🏼♀️
It’s just a few days! Am I really being stupid for asking for a few days so my husband can be here for me and I can stop stressing about this?? Any tips? I’m lost on what else I can do.
Edit: just adding the c section isn’t elective because of how badly I tore with my first born. Also, it’s not exactly 39 weeks so they should be able to move it up a few days so I’m not sure why they won’t budge. She keeps saying “don’t worry you will probably go early” I went at 37 weeks with my first and she was 9lbs. 😅 Still I’m going to try a second opinion with another doctor in the practice. I just don’t have time to switch to a new practice.
