Yes I can’t wait! I wanted to do with my last baby but when she came out she ripped her own chord hahaha! So no chance on that with her!

The hospital I’ll deliver at has a baby friendly designation so they do delayed cord clamping with every birth, but I would choose to do it even if it wasn’t standard. I don’t know why anyone would choose not to do it as it is very good for the baby.

Just for about 5 minutes. We did it with our first and it seemed like it was standard. I remember the doc saying ‘Nick would you like to cut the cord?’ And me saying ‘no I want to delay it for at least 5 minutes’ and the doctor saying ‘it’s been well over 5’ lol

I think my first was under 5 minutes, but I had them put it in my chart as the doctor delivering could change based on rotation.
