Lots of babbling sounds I liked to think were mamma and dada around 6 months but his first actual word was uh-oh around 8 months.

My first was 5.5 months she said dada and a couple days later later our cats name and was talking in sentences by age 18m. Our second didn’t say a word until 12m and started speaking sentences around 2.5. There is a huge range of normal

7.5 months old, he had been babbling for awhile (mamamama / dadadada / babababaa / nananana) but I didn’t count anything as his first word until I walked in to get him up from a nap, he was so happy to see me and said “mumma” crystal clear, just the one word 🥰

At about 11 months my daughter started saying "up". Now at 13 months she says, up, cat, dog, yeah, Dada and has said book and red 1x each. You know what she doesn't say? Mama. The little stinker! Lol
