Let me start as a disclaimer that I have tricare insurance and I live in a small town...But I am 10w6d along and still haven’t seen my OB. With tricare you have to get a referral for everything, so I had to wait to go to my Family Practice Doc (almost 2 weeks because I’m a new patient) and then I got a referral to my OB and had to wait 2 and a half more weeks because they didn’t have any earlier availability! 😭 Since I wasn’t going to be able to get to my OB early, I went to an ultrasound tech and paid out of my pocket to see the baby. Now they said they should be able to see the baby since I was 9 weeks at the time from an exterior ultrasound, but when they tried we saw nothing. Now this isn’t my first baby, so naturally I thought I was going to see what I saw with my last baby up on that screen! The ultrasound tech said I could call me back in a week to check but then the owner called and said they weren’t for medical purposes and only entertainment purposes. Now I’m left here freaking out that there is no baby and that I miscarried (even though I have no signs and serious morning sickness) or that possibly I’m not as far along as we think (which is totally possible as my periods are way wacky and all over the place). Trying to stay positive but it’s so hard to when you can’t have any concrete answers! Am I the only one to freak out over the health of my little bean?
