Ok so I am 38 weeks exactly today. I have my last OB appointment in two days at 38+2. Last Tuesday when checked I was 2.5cm 70% effaced and 0 station. I have a scheduled induction set for Feb 15th at 39+1 due to babys weight. This is my second pregnancy and I delivered my first babe at 39+1 spontaneous labor no sweep.

So here is my question... should I ask for membrane sweep at my 38 week app? I know it’s a personal decision I’m just looking for opinions on if you think it would actually do anything or if I am just causing myself unnecessary pain. Should I get sweep and hope to go in spontaneous labor or wait 6 more days and be induced? Any personal story’s or advice welcome!!
