How old can a new born consume water?

As a first time mum I’m unsure about a lot of details - I would like to ask the community here whats a recommended/suitable age for my 2 month old turning to 3 son to start consuming water, thank you!

They don’t need straight water at that age. It’s recommended to start water when they start solids so around 6 months old. Formula and breastmilk have plenty enough water for baby.

They can have sips of water at 6 months old after starting solid foods. Babies younger than 6 months need breastmilk or formula. And really they dont need water until a year old. We just gave my daughter a sippy with an oz or 2 of water after 6 months so she could learn to use the sippy.
