Should private K-12 schools have the right to discriminate?

Me

Poll answers, I wanted to go in depth:

A- yes, they should be allowed to discriminate on everything

B- yes, but not on race, sex, or possible disabilities

C- no, but admissions can be selective based on academic ability (pre-testing)

D- no, they should not be allowed to discriminate against anyone who has the financial means to attend

E- other, please explain further

A friend in my hometown has been looking for a school for her soon to be kindergartener. The public school she is zoned for is not known to be the best so she was considering private. This is one of the private institutions in the area and their admission criteria:

She inquired what they meant by “emotional stability” because her daughter, like almost every other child, is prone to meltdowns. They verbatim said “docile children who do not show grand emotional displays.” This extends to children with disabilities such as autism, ADHD, or Down syndrome, as they do not believe in inclusion which is also in their admissions packet. They create classrooms of similar abilities and personalities.

This is a private institution and paid for by admissions; it’s not at all publicly funded. Do you still think they should be allowed to openly discriminate like this within their student population? Why or why not?
