I’m so glad we are okay

Yesterday night my boyfriend and I were on the way home from my aunt and uncles house. The roads were partially snow covered, and it was dark as it was almost midnight and the stretch of road had no lights. All of a sudden we heard a loud clunking noise. We thought it was a chunk of snow at first, but it didn’t stop. We started pulling off to the side of the road, luckily by a building that had some lights, when I started smelling burning rubber. When we got out to look what happened, it looked like the tire had fallen off the rim. I called my aunt and uncle, so they wouldn’t worry when I didn’t text them that I was home, and they came out to where we were. My boyfriend called his parents, and his mom came out too. They were able to get the car pulled into the parking lot that we were close to, so it was off the road. He went back to it today, and saw that it didn’t just fall off the rim, the tire completely blew, and it was a brand new tire. I am just so glad we are both okay. This could have been so much worse, especially since it was snowy and dark. He could have easily lost control of the car, or we could have been hit while we were on the side of the road. I stayed calm during it, but once I got home it really hit me that it could have been so bad.

This is the picture he took today when he went back to the car today to figure out how to get it home.
