How did your labor start?

Question

This is baby #3 and I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. I was induced with my first two so I definitely know what real contractions feel like, but I’ve been having period cramps all day long today. I’ve been having Braxton Hicks and pressure for a couple months now especially after activity, but today I’ve literally stayed on the couch. I’m wondering if it’s the start of something or a tease. I was 2cm 70% effaced last week.

My only natural labour started when I was cooking dinner I started to feel a bit off and lost my appetite then I just kept getting like pressure that would come and go I didn’t really think it was labour but once I started timing it and it wasn’t stopping I realised and called the doctors and they said to come get checked and I was 4cm dismayed when I got to the hospital 8 hours later with some nasty back labour I had my first baby boy. My other two were inductions and they started very different haha the starting contractions of the inductions were a lot more intense then the natural one. :)

With my first I had my first contractions at 39+6 at 12 mins apart that quickly dropped to 3-5 mins apart. Labored at home for maybe 45 mins before heading to hospital and was 7cm when they checked me. With my second I had powerful Braxton Hicks starting at 37 weeks, and then woke up at 2:30am when I was 39+1 with contractions 10 mins apart that quickly dropped down to 3-5 mins apart. Left for the hospital right away and again was 7cm when I arrived. 
This is my third and I’ve been having tons of contractions for about a week now but nothing consistent (I’m 37+2). 
I think it’s different for everyone but my true active labor was fairly sudden and the contractions kept getting more painful and closer together no matter what I did. They didn’t let up with water or rest or go backwards in time apart.

Yup, I’m 38+5. Period cramps all day yesterday. Nausea today. Braxton Hicks since 25 weeks for me. Baby 2 here does not want to make an entrance yet. My first came at 39+ 4
